Who is Andrew Perry?
Andrew Mosby Perry has always taken pride in being a Milwaukee-based artist.
He has been drawing since he was six years old and painting since the year 2008.
In 2022, Andrew earned his BFA at UW-Milwaukee's Peck School of the Arts.
Despite primarily focusing upon oil painting throughout recent years, Andrew has also worked in a wide variety of 2D mediums; oil pastels, traditional & digital photo collage (using various photo-editting programs), acrylic paint, charcoals.
Within the local Milwaukee art scene, Andrew's artwork has exhibited at the
Material Studio + Gallery, Muse Gallery Guesthouse, Scout Gallery, Mobile Design Box, Walker’s Point Center for the Arts, the Wauwatosa Public Library Art Gallery, and the Milwaukee Art Museum.
In March of 2011, his Junior year at Pius XI High School, Andrew was awarded the Scholastic Gold Key for his surreal horse painting, "Stryder", which was briefly displayed in a group exhibition at the Milwaukee Art Museum.
As a known two year resident artist at Material Studios + Gallery, Andrew enjoys giving back to the local scene by creatively collaborating with emerging artists, aiming toward the eventual creation of a network of local artists supporting each other.
Outside of fine art, Andrew enjoys writing, karaoke, scrapbooking, and comic books. Andrew Mosby Perry dreams of owning an art gallery of his own some day.
